The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs will have to wait a little longer to open the first home game of the season at Busch Stadium. According to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, first pitch will not come until 3:45 p.m. CT:
#Cardinals: pre-game ceremonies delayed until 3 p.m. First pitch set for 3:45 p.m. because of rain delay. #stlcards

The game was originally slated for a 3:15 p.m. CT first pitch, but inclement weather has altered the original plans. The Cardinals send SP Adam Wainwright to the mound today to face SP Jeff Samardzija.
