With 1B Lance Berkman on the DL still, 1B Matt Carpenter takes command of the first bag and hits No. 2 on Friday evening, hoping to continue his hot start to the season. Carpenter currently sports a powerful .321/.323/.643 slash with 1 home run through 31 PA.
