Padres Vs. Cardinals Preview: St. Louis Opens A 3-Game Series With San Diego On Monday

The Cardinals return home for a three-game series with San Diego.

The St. Louis Cardinals return home on Monday night to host the San Diego Padres, and they're hoping to forget about what has been a rough week-and-a-half stretch. The Cardinals have won just two of their last 10 games and seen their lead in the Central shrink to a half game.

They can start to turn things around against the 16-26 Padres. Jaime Garcia (3-2, 3.68 ERA) is scheduled to start for St. Louis, and the Padres will be sending Clayton Richard (2-5, 4.94) to the mound.
