The St. Louis Cardinals open a 10-game road trip on Monday with the start of a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves. The Cards will look to keep momentum rolling after the team hit three home runs on Sunday during an 8-3 home victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. St. Louis will give the ball to Lance Lynn, the Cardinals' unlikely 25-year old ace, on Monday afternoon. Atlanta is slated to start 25-year old right-hander Tommy Hanson.
Lynn enters at 7-1 on the season with a 2.54 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. Lynn's lone loss this season came against these Braves on May 13, when he allowed four hits and three earned run in six innings. Hanson, who enters at 5-3 with a 3.12 ERA and 1.34 WHIP, exited as the victorious pitcher that night after holding St. Louis to five hits and one run in five innings.
Hanson hasn't allowed more than two earned runs since May 2.
Game Date & Time: Monday, May 27, 12:10 p.m. CT
