The St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins are tied up 2-2 after six innings of play on Wednesday night as starter Joe Kelly is in the midst of another solid start. This has been quite the series so far for Kelly, who also hit a pinch-hit RBI single in the tenth inning of the Cardinals' 8-7 victory over the Marlins on Monday.
Over six innings, Kelly has allowed two runs on five hits, striking out three while walking two. Marlins starter Anibal Sanchez has extremely similar numbers so far, as he's pitched six innings, allowed two runs on six hits with two strikeouts and two walks.
David Freese leads St. Louis on offense with a pair of hits, including an RBI double in the first inning that expanded the Cardinals' initial lead to 2-0. The Marlins managed to tie the game back up with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
