St. Louis Cardinals third baseman David Freese is one of five players that's part of this year's Final Vote competition for the National League, as MLB announced on Sunday. While Freese didn't make the team, he's now one of five players that fans can vote for to take the 34th spot on the NL's roster.
Along with Freese, Washington's Bryce Harper, Arizona's Aaron Hill and pair of Atlanta players, Chipper Jones and Michael Bourn, are the options for fans looking to vote. Balloting will run through 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, with the winners being announced not long after that.
This season, Freese has hit .280/.331/.481 with 13 homers and 48 RBI over 290 plate appearances, a solid follow-up to nice breakout during the 2011 postseason. If you want to vote for Freese, or one of the other players, click here for the ballot.
