Starting at second base for the third game in a row, 2B Skip Schumaker hopes to parlay his first half success into a second half starting position. The long-time Cardinals second baseman has been ceding playing time to the likes of 25-year-old 2B Danny Descalso and 28-year-old 2B Tyler Greene.
Schumaker, hitting a strong .304/.367/.417 slash, will join the rest of the St. Louis Cardinals (46-40) as they take on the Cincinnati Reds (47-38) on Friday night.
Here's a look at the lineups courtesy of FOX Sports Midwest and the Cincinnati Enquirer's John Fay:
#Reds lineup: Cozart 6, Stubbs 8, Votto 3, Phillips 4, Bruce 9, Ludwick 7, Frazier 5, Hanigan 2, Latos 1. vs. Wainwright.
