The St. Louis Cardinals offense has continued to preform well in 2012 despite being without slugger Lance Berkman since May due to a knee injury, but they are expected to finally get Berkman back on Saturday for their game against the Cincinnati Reds. Berkman posted a .333/.429/.571 batting line over 49 plate appearances before going down, while the Cardinals still rank No. 4 in runs (429), No. 2 in batting average (.275), No. 2 in on-base percentage (.341) and No. 5 in slugging (.432) as a team in 2012.
On Saturday, Kyle Lohse (9-2, 2.79 ERA) take the mound opposite Reds starter Mike Leake (3-6, 4.01 ERA).
