Rockies Vs. Cardinals: St. Louis Hopes To Stop Jeff Francis' Momentum

The St. Louis Cardinals crushed Colorado Rockies pitching in the series opener on Monday night en route to a breezy 9-3 victory, but things will likely be tougher on the offense on Tuesday night. Rockies starter Jeff Francis is 1-1 with a 5.47 ERA in 2012, but his last three starts have been quite impressive. Over 16.0 innings during that stretch, Francis has allowed just three earned runs while striking out nine batters and walking just one. Colorado won all three of those contests as well.

St. Louis will send starter Joe Kelly (1-0, 3.38 ERA) to the mound to duel with Francis on Tuesday.

Game 2 Date & Time: Tuesday, June 3, 7:15 p.m. CT

TV: Fox Sports Midwest
