Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton could be back in time for this weekend's series against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium, as Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports. The Cardinals are currently hosting the Colorado Rockies as part of a homestand, but they kick off their series against Miami on Friday.

According to Spencer, Stanton is awaiting the results of an MRI that he took on Tuesday. If the results come back positive, there's a good chance that we'll see Stanton in the lineup as the Marlins face the Cards this weekend. Otherwise, Stanton says that he'll likely miss next week's All Star Game if he can't go this weekend.
