Rockies Vs. Cardinals: Lance Lynn Takes The Ball On Thursday

The St. Louis Cardinals jumped out to a great start in 2012 thanks to impressive pitching from 25-year-old starter Lance Lynn, but in the recent weeks his magic has seemed to wear off a bit. Lynn has given up 17 earned runs and a whopping 25 hits over his last three starts (15.1 total innings) as his ERA has swelled to 3.62 for the season. The Colorado Rockies may be just what the doctor ordered for Lynn, however. Colorado suffered through a terrible month of June and now the team is tied with the Cubs for the worst record in Major League Baseball (31-50). They still rank well into the top-half of the league in most hitting statistics, but the pitching has been downright awful. The Rockies rank-dead last in ERA, Quality Starts, WHIP and Batting Average Against in 2012. Christian Friedrich (4-5, 5.52 ERA) has the task of trying to turn that tide on Thursday night.

Game 4 Date & Time: Thursday, June 5, 7:15 p.m. CT
