Cardinals Vs. Rockies Final Score: St. Louis Wins 9-6 Behind Two Homers From Matt Holliday

The rain lengthened things a bit, the St. Louis Cardinals were still able to outlast the Colorado Rockies 9-6 on Wednesday night at Coors Field. The win moves St. Louis to 56-48 on the season, while the Rockies fall to 37-65.

The Rockies led 5-3 after scoring four runs in the sixth, a frame highlighted by an RBI triple from Tyler Colvin. St. Louis would respond by scoring three in the seventh inning, one in the eighth and two in the ninth to complete the comeback victory.

Matt Holliday finished 3-for-4 with two homers, three runs and five RBI. Catcher Yadier Molina also added three hits and an RBI. Carlos Beltran went 2-for-5 in the win for St. Louis.

Cardinals starter Jake Westbrook improved to 10-8 by allowing nine hits and five earned runs over six innings.
