Cardinals Vs. Dodgers: Wild Card Lead On The Line In Series Finale

The Dodgers beat the Cardinals in walkoff fashion on Saturday, and they'll meet again on Sunday with high stakes. The two teams have identical 76-70 records, and they sit tied for the second wild card spot from the National League.

The Cards will send Adam Wainwright to the hill as they meet the Dodgers for the final time in 2012 on Sunday. Wainwright is 13-13 on the season with a 4.01 ERA on the year. Wainwright is coming off a solid outing on Tuesday in which he allowed a pair of runs on six innings of work.

The Dodgers originally had Clayton Kershaw scheduled for Sunday, but he's been scratched for the scheduled start and might be done for the season with hip problems. Stephen Fife will start in place of Kershaw. He's 0-1 with a 2.16 ERA in limited work this season. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:10 p.m. CT .
