St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson had a historic day in the Rams' loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday as he passed the team’s all-time rushing record, but what’s more impressive is that he did it with a broken finger.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Jackson didn’t tell Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo of the injury during the game against Tampa, and the coach didn’t know about the injury until the plane ride home.
Jackson believes he will be healthy enough to play next week, or at least that’s what he told his fans on Twitter:
It has been a busy day.Yes, I had surgery on my ring finger but I shouldn’t miss a beat. I’m not married so I’m covered there too.
Jackson’s had his share of injuries this season, but he seems insistent on never missing much time because of them.
