If the St. Louis Rams decide to pass on Randy Moss, now officially on waivers, fans will find at least some comfort in the fact that their rival Seattle Seahawks, a few spots behind the on the priority list, appear to be out of contention for the wide receiver's services, according to the Seattle Times.
↵Moss, whose five touchdown receptions would lead either team's receiving corps, remains in waiver limbo until at least Wednesday, which is the first day he could be assigned to a claiming team. Seattle bowing out is good for the Rams if they end up passing on him, but a Seahawks acquisition would have required the Rams passing in the first place—it gets us no closer to the front of the line.
↵Meanwhile, at SB Nation Seattle they're reporting that Pete Carroll remains mum on any Moss acquisition. It looks like it'll be a while, at least, before anything leaks out from the interested parties except tacit non-denials. Here's hoping the Rams' non-denials continue to look the most like confirmations.
