NFL Power Rankings: St. Louis Rams Continue March Toward Top 20

It's hard to overstate just how strange it is to see the our guys outside the basement of this week's diverse set of NFL Power Rankings—for a long time it seemed like their full team name was "32. St. Louis Rams." But heading into their bye week the Rams have climbed to 22 in the SB Nation Power Rankings, moving past the Arizona Cardinals and sitting within three spots of the Seattle Seahawks at 19.

The Rams' season-to-date looks odd—a glance at all those 1-4 point losses suggests they should be better than 4-4, but that loss against the Detroit Lions was so deafeningly bad that their point differential for the season is still completely flat, 140 for to 141 against.

They don't play this week and get the beleaguered San Francisco 49ers next week—if NFC West struggles and they pick up the win against the 49ers it could vault them into some strange, positive national attention. And I don't know how I'd deal with that.

Meanwhile, Turf Show Times has a list of their positions on other power rankings—they've gone as high as 16th, on Fox Sports.
