Sam Bradford Climbs The Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Sam Bradford is already pretty popular around St. Louis—ladies want him, men want to own his replica jersey—but if there's one way for a football player to make himself more popular it's to do right by the fantasy football players who trawl the waiver wire for bargains, often more to say they knew him when than to actually play their deep-sleepers. And Bradford's 300-yard, three touchdown performance Sunday was as good a way as any to ingratiate himself with that contingent.

To wit: Sam Bradford is up 2.2% this week in ESPN fantasy leagues, 30.6% owned at press time. And considering that next week the Rams are visiting the Arizona Cardinals, who've allowed 292 points and 2617 passing yards to date, the waiver-wire scavengers might not be a week too late in reacting to Bradford's Danario Alexander-catalyzed breakout game.

At least, I hope so. All these Derek Anderson jokes I keep making are going to start to hurt if he outplays Team Savior Sam Bradford a week after this kind of performance.
