St. Louis Rams Vs. Arizona Cardinals: Sam Bradford, Steven Jackson Break Out For Touchdown

Sam Bradford’s interception to start the third quarter did little to shake the St. Louis Rams offense’s confidence—long passes to Danario Alexander and Danny Amendola set up a 27-yard touchdown run from Steven Jackson, and with eight minutes left in the third quarter the Rams lead the Arizona Cardinals 16-6.

For Jackson it’s just his fourth rushing touchdown of the season. He’s on pace to have one of his best games of the season just one week after one of this worst; he’s got 16 rushes for 86 yards and the touchdown, and has broken free several times already.

Bradford looked sharp after being shaky all game. He was 3-for-3 with 38 yards passing on the drive, hitting Amendola and Alexander each for more than 15 yards. A week after his second enticing, breakout performance of the season, Alexander has two receptions for 20 yards on four targets.

The Rams defense appears to have picked up, too—on the next drive they forced the Cardinals three-and-out, giving Bradford and Jackson another chance to shine.
