A number of divisions are still in play as Week 17 winds down the regular season, but few of them, it must be said, are quite so inscrutable as the NFC West—and no piece of the NFL playoff picture is being decided in such a dramatic fashion. While the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers fight for the NFC's second Wild Card spot in separate games the Rams and the Seahawks will be playing on NBC for the right to stand tall as the worst team in the 2011 NFL Playoffs.
↵While the Rams and Seahawks aren't anybody's idea of a playoff preview, they are among the most evenly matched teams in the regular season's final week. The Atlanta Falcons have the Carolina Panthers at home, with nothing but the number-one draft pick on the line. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys will send Mike Vick and Jon Kitna into a battle of resuscitated quarterbacks of the early aughts. The Ravens and the Bengals, in the AFC, managed to pull off an 11-4, 4-11 showdown.
↵That said, I suppose I can't fault Packers and Chicago Bears fans for feeling slighted with the attention focused strangely on the Rams and Seahawks...
