Week 8 NFL Power Rankings: ESPN Ranks Rams No. 30, Considers Them Best Of Worst

In what could be the first positive move for the Rams this season, ESPN's latest NFL power rankings actually saw St. Louis move up a spot to No. 30 following the 34-7 loss at Dallas. While the performance of the offense has been dismal, according to Mike Sando, it's the surprising decline of the defense that has played a big role in the winless start:

Steve Spagnuolo's inability to hold the defense together could cost him in his final assessment

While the San Francisco 49ers maintained their spot at No.4 in the latest rankings, the other NFC West teams are at the bottom of the rankings. The 2-4 Seahawks fell to No. 26 after a difficult 6-3 loss to Cleveland, while the disappointing Arizona Cardinals dropped three spots to No. 29 after falling at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Unfortunately, the schedule doesn't get any easier for the Rams, as they host the high-octane New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
