Adam Schefter is reporting that New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram is out for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. The Mark Ingram injury opens the door for running back Chris Ivory to return from the PUP (physically unable to perform) list to the active roster.
Earlier today, the Rams announced quarterback Sam Bradford would be out this week, leading to another A.J. Feeley start. The loss of Mark Ingram will certainly hurt the Saints offense, especially if Ivory is still not at full-speed, but with quarterback Drew Brees healthy, the Saints do not figure to look too much worse than usual.
Working the Rams favor, however, are the injuries to linebacker Jonathon Vilma and defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis, both of whom are questionable going into Sunday's contest. And, frankly, the Rams offense could use all the help it can get while trying to keep up with the explosive Saints.
