2012 Pro Football Hall Of Fame: Jerome Bettis, Aeneas Williams Among Semifinalists

Two players who spent time with the Rams are up for enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced 26 semifinalists for its 2012 class on Tuesday, and among them are a pair of players who spent some time playing for the St. Louis Rams: running back Jerome Bettis and defensive back Aeneas Williams.

Bettis spent three seasons in the Rams organization, though two of those occurred while the franchise was in Los Angeles. During his year in St. Louis, Bettis ran for 637 yards and three touchdowns. Bettis finished his career with 13,662 rushing yards, which ranks fifth all-time.

Williams spent 2001-2004 with the Rams and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2001 and 2003. Williams was selected to eight Pro Bowls over the course of his pro career. He ranks 19th all-time with 55 interceptions.
