The St. Louis Rams injury train continues derailing itself over and over—James Laurinaitis sat out Wednesday with a foot injury, along with Danario Alexander and nearly every other football player who's ever even heard of the Rams, or St. Louis, or football. (Edward Jones will be limited for the rest of the week after contracting laurinaitis.)
↵So that's what's going on. Remember those halcyon days in the preseason when the Rams were turning players away? When the roster simply couldn't fit all the healthy, under-contract types who just wanted to be a part of the next great Rams team?
↵50 years from now, Donnie Avery will tell his grandchildren about the time he nearly died as a cautionary tale of getting what you wish for, of pulling at the monkey's paw, et cetera. "You might feel bad about not making varsity this year, Trey, but it was not making a football team that kept me from falling victim to the great St. Louis Rams polio epidemic of 2011."
