Last week, the odds were heavily against the St. Louis Rams defeating the New Orleans Saints, but they managed to do it anyways. This week, the Rams are still considered the underdog by our partners from Odds Shark, but with a much smaller spread. The Arizona Cardinals are down as 3-point favorites against St. Louis for Sunday's game, even though they're currently riding a 6-game losing streak.
Few teams in the league have played as poorly as the Rams so far this season, but the Cardinals appear to be one of them. Arizona has lost six consecutive games since defeating Carolina in its season-opener, including a near-upset of the Baltimore Ravens just a few days ago.
You'd think that the odds would favor St. Louis after the team knocked off the New Orleans Saints last week, but the odds makers are clearly concerned about the status of Rams quarterback Sam Bradford. He hasn't played the past two weeks, and while A.J. Feeley has been adequate in his place, Bradford's absence is clearly having a negative impact on the Rams' odds of winning.
