Mark Clayton Injury Update: Rams Move WR To Active Roster

The St. Louis Rams lost one of their key wide receivers earlier this week when it was determined that rookie Greg Salas would miss the remainder of the season with a broken leg, but they're getting another one back now that the team has moved wideout Mark Clayton onto the active roster.

Clayton, 29, was one of the Rams' key receivers early in the 2010 season before going down with a knee injury that eventually required surgery. The team placed him on the physically unable to perform list at the beginning of the season, but he's been practicing for a few weeks now.

The Rams had to decide on Wednesday whether to activate Clayton and place him on the roster or place him on the injured reserve for the rest of the season, and ultimately they chose the former. The team wasn't clear in stating whether he would play against the Cleveland Browns this weekend, but Bradley appears to be preparing as if he will.
