NFL Picks And Predictions, Week 14: AOL Sporting News Predicts Rams Will Fall To Seahawks On MNF

SB Nation St. Louis is continuing to gather NFL Week 14 picks from around the web for the Monday night matchup between the St. Louis Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. Vinnie Iyer of AOL Sporting News has released his picks for this week, and here is what he has to say about the game:

Remember how these teams battled for first place at the end of last season with sub.-500 records? The Seahawks, at 5-7, are actually very similar to last year's team while the wheels have come off 2-10 St. Louis. The Rams have already seen multiple offensive linemen, wide receivers and cornerbacks drop, and the injury bug has them down to possibly starting Tom Brandstater at quarterback in prime time. With another chance under the lights, it will be Marshawn Lynch's time to shine again.

Seahawks 27, Rams 10.

As for the rest of the NFC West, here is how Iyer sees the action developing:

  • The San Francisco 49ers are predicted to to shut down the Arizona Cardinals, 24-14. Iyer thinks the offense will effectively flow through Alex Smith with down-field throws to Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis, while punter Andy Lee will avoid putting the ball in the hands of Cardinals' rookie Patrick Peterson on punts.

Iyer is 127-65 for the year-to-date, and went 9-7 straight up in Week 13.
