Week 13 NFL Lines And Odds: Rams Vs. 49ers

After a disappointing 23-20 Week 12 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the St. Louis Rams (2-9) face a very tough road matchup against the San Francisco 49ers (9-2) in Week 13.

The San Francisco 49ers are a very good team with a great defense, waiting at home for a struggling St. Louis Rams team to arrive. On paper it is a lop-sided matchup, but perhaps Sam Bradford, Steven Jackson and Brandon Lloyd are finally ready to lift the Rams offense out of the rut they have been in for nearly the entire season. Earlier in the week SB Nation St. Louis released its picks, and had this to say about the game:

The Rams are an unmitigated disaster, and the calls for firing head coach Steve Spagnuolo and GM Billy Devaney are getting louder with each loss. In that case, expect the calls to get a bit louder once again, as the the 49ers are a really good football team with a terrific home record (5-1).

What do odds makers think will happen?

The 49ers opened as 13.5 point favorites over the Rams, and the spread has jumped from anywhere to 15 points to 13 points on various sites, according to Odds Shark. The over/under opened at 38 points, and the prowess of the 49ers defense has led to a slight shift down to 37.5 during the course of the week.
