Rams Vs. 49ers Score Update: Rams Trail 9-0 Heading Into Third Quarter

Although this season has been disappointing in so many ways, the St. Louis Rams have continued to play hard and compete every week. This continues to be the case in San Francisco, where the Rams trail the 49ers 9-0 early in the third quarter.

With Sam Bradford missing the game because of an ankle injury, the offense has struggled to generate any sort of rhythm. The Rams have gained only 107 total yards, with a huge chunk of that yardage coming on a 34-yard pass from A.J. Feeley to Brandon Lloyd.

The St. Louis defense has been exceptional, especially in keeping the 49ers out of the end zone. The Rams have limited San Francisco to three field goals from David Akers and have held Frank Gore to just 46 yards rushing. Chris Long has been a nuisance throughout the game and picked up two more sacks in the first half.
