Arizona Cardinals Could Go To Kurt Warner Well With Marc Bulger

You may have thought you'd seen the last of Marc Bulger after he spent the entire 2010 season as the seen-but-not-heard backup quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens—or in 2009, after he spent most of the 2009 season as the St. Louis Rams' Zombie Starting Quarterback, but apparently Marc Bulger is the official choice of Larry Fitzgerald, if not the Arizona Cardinals proper.

It would be an interesting choice, if not the big-name pick Arizona fans would like—he's the quarterback equivalent of acquiring Mark Clayton, uninspiring but with a little upside to dream on. A year off from being beaten into the ground might be exactly what Bulger needs to return to his 2002-2006 form, but even if he doesn't—well, it doesn't get much worse than the three-pronged quarterback attack the Cardinals hit themselves with in 2010, Max Hall, Derek Anderson, and John "Keith Null" Skelton. He wouldn't exactly spook me as NFC West competition, but it's too early to count him out.

Not much too early, but maybe a little too early.
