2011 NFL Mock Draft: Rams' Pick "Hot Spot For Trade"

The latest 2011 NFL Mock Draft from Mocking The Draft is out, and with Julio Jones going at 10 to the Washington Redskins in what seems to be the increasingly approaching conventional wisdom, the St. Louis Rams are left to improve their offensive line, reaching to draft Mike Pouncey at 14 in the first round. But MTD, at least, thinks this could be a prime NFL Draft trade spot, should the Rams find that a wide receiver or defensive difference-maker is out of their reach at the position.

At that point, all bets are off. The Rams could trade up to try to get Julio Jones, or they could trade down with the knowledge that nobody they really want is available at 14 anyway. They could keep the pick and go after one of numerous defensive prospects floating around the second half of the top 20, but it's hard to say, a month out, which of those players in particular would still be around at 14.

Only one thing is certain—whatever they do, people will find some way to be disappointed by it.
