2011 NFL Mock Draft: Rams Reportedly Trying To Trade Up For Julio Jones

We already know that the Rams need to add some talent around Sam Bradford in the form of a true No. 1 wide receiver. Julio Jones is probably the name that gets thrown about most often for the Rams to draft in the first round, but it is extremely unlikely that he will still be on the board for the Rams to draft with their first round pick. But again, we already knew that.

There might be some good news on that front now, however. According to Todd McShay via Rotoworld, there is a chance that the Rams could move up in the Draft to get their man.

ESPN's Todd McShay said on SportsCenter Friday that he's heard rumblings around the league that the Rams are angling to trade up for the No. 9 overall pick in the draft.

They also report that the reason they would need to jump all the way up to No. 9 is because people believe that the Redskins, who pick at tenth overall, are expected to take Julio Jones if he is still on the board. Of course moving up to No. 9 does not guarantee that Jones will still be on the board, so this might be the kind of move that gets made while the Cowboys are on the clock.
