The Minnesota Vikings, who pick No. 12 overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, are the latest team to join the Julio Jones hunt, suggesting on PFT Live that they'd look at Jones or top receiver prospect A.J. Green if either managed to fall that far on April 28. The St. Louis Rams and their fans welcome yet another confounder sitting between their No. 14 pick and the number-one receiver of Sam Bradford's dreams. Of course, if they trade up into the single digits to pursue Jones, the Vikings are irrelevant.
Anything could happen in the next two weeks, but it's become increasingly difficult to imagine a scenario in which the Rams come by Julio Jones honestly. Team after team has shown interest in the aftermath of his NFL Combine extravaganza, and none of them has yet backed off. The Rams could really use a wide receiver with some upside and two functioning knees, but they might have to settle for plugging a defensive hole if they stick to their original first round pick.
