NFL Lockout: Sam Bradford Leads Unofficial St. Louis Rams Practices

As threatened earlier in the year, Sam Bradford and the St. Louis Rams aren't taking the NFL lockout as an opportunity to get rusty; Bradford and Donnie Avery, Danario Alexander, Mark Clayton and company are practicing at the University of Houston, which means that, no matter what happens during the NFL Draft, Bradford is ready to be familiar with the wide receiver corps he has right now.

With the team not permitted to perform in official team-y activities during the duration of the lockout, informal activity like this is going to be vital in keeping the Rams in shape to follow up their surprise NFC West run in a hypothetical 2011 season. And given their terrifying 2011 schedule, they'll need to be considerably better than they were last year to do as well.

News of these workouts is also important to keeping Rams fans in game-shape. Lately it seems like even real news, like the release of the 2011 NFL schedule, has been met with a yawn or indifferent sneer that has to terrify members of both sides of the player-owner feud.
