The 2011 NFL Draft order has left the St. Louis Rams in an awkward position, adrift at the middle of the first round, between most of the plausible wide receiver options and stuck just after the first wave of defensive stars comes off the board. A.J. Green and Julio Jones are likely to be off the board by the time the Rams pick, plucked by the Top 10 teams, and should Steve Spagnuolo decide to go defense he might find that standouts like Robert Quinn and Missouri's Aldon Smith have already been chosen.
The likely result is that the Rams go with a solid but perhaps unspectacular pick like the oft-speculated-about Illinois defensive tackle Corey Liuget, a favorite of Mock Drafters for months now, but anything could happen—nobody has yet perfectly predicted an NFL Draft, so far as I can tell, not even Mel Kiper.
