Danario Alexander The St. Louis Rams' Wild Card Vs. Ravens

Danario Alexander could be the St. Louis Rams' difference-maker Week 3 vs. the Baltimore Ravens—if his knee holds up and they can get him established early.

Two weeks ago the St. Louis Rams looked like they'd forgotten about Danario Alexander entirely; last week he had his coming-out party, turning in a brilliant performance against the New York Giants. Week 3 the Rams and the Baltimore Ravens will each have a say in how the Danario Alexander story plays out in the future. For once the Mizzou alum is off the injury report and out of the doghouse—and if Sam Bradford's on target it could mean a big afternoon for the team's only big play threat.

Alexander's three-reception, 122 yard performance against the Giants meant he leads the team in receiving yards and touchdowns despite only appearing in one of their games; it also means the team's perpetual great-downfield-hope has now earned at least 70 yards receiving in four of his seven games in the Rams' offense. When he's healthy and he's integrated, nobody seems able to stop him—he's the first-rounder Missouri football fans expected him to be before his knee fell apart. If that holds Sunday, with Josh McDaniels more aware than ever of what he's got, Alexander could be the difference-maker on offense.
