The St. Louis Rams (2-14), fresh off their disappointing 2011 NFL Season, are reportedly interviewing long-time Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher. Peter King of the NBC Sports Network (formerly VERSUS) reported on Monday, January 2, that the Rams intend to interview Fisher sometime during the week.
Fisher has spent 20 years as an NFL coach, filling the role of head coach for 17 years with the Tennessee Titans franchise (formerly the Tennessee Oilers, formerly the Houston Oilers). The Rams officially fired their head coach Steve Spagnuolo and GM Billy Devaney on Monday after the team underwent its fifth consecutive losing season.
The Rams have not been at or above .500 since 2006 under head coach Scott Linehan when the team was 8-8.
