Former St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo released a statement on Tuesday afternoon in which he expressed gratitude for his time with the organization and offered some words of encouragement for the future.
"I want to pass along deep gratitude toward every Rams employee for their ‘behind the scenes efforts and loyalty’ and for embracing Maria and I throughout our time here.
“I want to thank every Rams fan for their passionate support. I apologize for not bringing enough success for them to enjoy this past season. You deserve more!"
Spagnuolo was 10-38 in three seasons as St. Louis' head coach; the team fell from seven wins in 2010 to just two in 2011.
More: Jeff Fisher could be the next head coach in St. Louis.
