NFL schedule 2012: Rams on bye as they recover from London

The Rams get the week off after returning from their Week 8 game that was played in London.

The St. Louis Rams get a much-needed bye week as they return from London, in which they were blown out, 45-7, to the New England Patriots.

As for the other NFC West teams, the 49ers are off while the Cardinals and Seahawks are going up against the Packers and Vikings. It is possible that after Week 9, that the Rams could find themselves just a half-game out of second place in the NFC West after Week 9.

The big national game this week looks to be the Steelers going on the road to face the Giants. The Steelers are trying to not lose any ground against the AFC North leading Ravens, and the Giants will be looking to start wrapping of the NFC East.
