Rams vs. 49ers score update: Steven Jackson bursts through for second touchdown as Rams lead 14-7

Steven Jackson scores his second touchdown of the 2012 season to put the St. Louis Rams up 14-0 on the first-place San Francisco 49ers.

Steven Jackson is still splitting carries, and the St. Louis Rams are still a 3-5 time. But vs. the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday the Rams have looked brilliant and Steven Jackson has scored his second touchdown of the season, bursting through the line for a seven yard run up the middle. Through one quarter Jackson has the bulk of the Rams' carries, taking eight for 44 yards and the touchdown.

Of course, Daryl Richardson has one carry for 32 yards. But so long as Jackson looks this effective, nobody—least of all him—will have to worry about splitting too many carries. Sam Bradford is the other offensive star so far; after a touchdown to Brian Quick he's 4-for-4 for 73 yards, including two passes to newly returned No. 1 receiver Danny Amendola.

After a great third-down reception from Michael Crabtree put San Francisco on the board, the Rams lead the defending NFC West champions by a score of 14-7. Jackson is on pace to cross 100 rushing yards for the first time all season, which would be a nice change of pace; follow along here on SB Nation St. Louis for constant score, injury, and fantasy updates.
