St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson and wide receiver Danny Amendola, two of the team's top offensive players in terms of production, did not participate in practice on Wednesday.
Jackson, the team's leading rusher, hurt his foot toward the end of the Rams' loss to the New York Jets on Saturday, but head coach Jeff Fisher told Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Jackson missed practice for rest purposes. Meanwhile, Amendola's situation appears to be a little more serious. The Rams' leading receiver was in a walking boot on Wednesday, leaving his status for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals in doubt.
Tight end Lance Kendricks, who is third on the team in receptions, was also held out of practice. Kendricks injured his knee against the Jets, but told Thomas he'd be fine going forward. Linebacker Mario Haggan is still recovering from a dislocated elbow, so he continues to sit out St. Louis' practices. He could be back on the field in a few weeks.
