Although the St. Louis Rams aren't mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, they'll need an awful lot of help to get there. Just one win from any of the four teams directly ahead of them in the NFC and they're out. But the Rams still have some hope to make it to the postseason as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday.
Running back Steven Jackson missed his second consecutive day of practice as he continues to deal with an illness. It's unknown whether Jackson will miss Sunday's game because of it. Cortland Finnegan's status is also up in the air. The cornerback missed his second day of practice this week with a thigh injury.
Four other Rams got back onto the practice field. Cornerback Bradley Fletcher was a full participant after being sick on Wednesday. Robert Quinn was also dealing with an illness; the defensive end was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Linebacker James Laurinaitis (back) and center Scott Wells (knee) were both limited after missing practice Wednesday.
