The St. Louis Blues (34-14-7, 75 pts) travel to Ohio to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets (16-34-6, 38 pts), hoping to gather in a few easy points.
The Blue Jackets sit at 5th place in the Central Division, sporting a league-low 38 points. They have the worst points-per-game rate in the league (.339) -- a massive disparity compared to the Blues' third-best rate of .682 -- and the Columbus team has allowed a league-leading 185 goals -- compared to the Blues' 111, which stands at second best in the NHL.
G Steve Mason is the only Blue Jackets player to lead the league in any category, and he leads the NHL in losses, tied with G Carey Price at 20. The 23-year-old Mason sports a career-low .884 save percentage and a 6-20 record. The Blue Jackets have been switching back and forth between Mason and 32-year-old G Curtis Sanford (10-13 record, .915 SV%) over the past few weeks, so Tuesday night's starter, but Mason figures to get the start Tuesday night.
Stay tuned as the Blues look to build their win streak to five games and gain ground on the division-leading Detroit Red Wings.
