NFL Free Agency: Brandon Lloyd, Rams Still Discussing His Potential Return

The St. Louis Rams and free-agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd haven't exactly been on the same page since the end of the 2011 season, but there are clear signs Lloyd hasn't foreclosed the option of returning to St. Louis next season. The talented WR expressed an interest in following Josh McDaniels at the end of the regular season, and his agent (Tom Condon) has reached out to the media to open the door for the New England Patriots to make their move, but that doesn't mean he the Rams are out of consideration.

Lloyd hits free agency on March 13, but SB Nation's Rams blog, Turf Show Times, spoke with Rams COO Kevin Demoff, who confirmed both parties are planning to continue talks.

"We had initial discussions in Indianapolis," Rams COO Kevin Demoff told TST. "We plan to continue talking."

Lloyd led the Rams with 51 receptions for 683 yards and five touchdowns despite only playing in 11 games for the team, and if he returns it would free up the organization to fill other pressing needs in the 2012 NFL Draft.
