2012 NFL Draft: Rams Invite OT Prospect Ronald Leary For A Pre-Draft Visit, According To Report

The St. Louis Rams are armed with plenty of picks in the 2012 NFL Draft, and according to a Scout.com report, the Rams have a invited late-round offensive tackle prospect and former Memphis Tigers lineman Ronald Leary for a pre-draft visit. He is certainly an under-the-radar player at this point in the draft process, as he doesn't even crack the top 20 offensive tackles on Mocking The Draft's positional rankings, but perhaps the Rams think they have round a sleeper-type project to build for the future.

As Ryan Van Bibber of SB Nation's Turf Show Times blog notes, Leary told the Memphis Commercial Appeal that his pro day focus was showing off his footwork.

"I wanted to show them I could move,'' Leary said. ''I know that was a big question coming into the offseason, how well I could move side to side. I wanted to show them that. I've been working since the combine and I feel my footwork was better today than it was at the combine."

Clearly the Rams saw something they liked, and they are hoping to get Leary in their facility for a close look before draft day.
