Rams Free Agency 2012: Brandon Lloyd Excited By Consideration From New England Patriots

The St. Louis Rams and free-agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd could still return to the team for 2012 and beyond, but he has also expressed an interest in following Josh McDaniels and his agent (Tom Condon) has reached out to the media regarding a potential move to the New England Patriots. Lloyd had his best years with McDaniels as his offensive coordinator, and he took the time to speak with Tom Curran of CSNNE.com about a potential reunion:

"Very interested. And like I said earlier, I admire Coach Bill (Belichick), I admire Tom Brady, I admire how they run things over there. For any receiver to be considered to come in and play on the New England Patriots is gonna be excited just because of the history of success"

Lloyd is slated to become a free agent on March 13, and he would leave a big void on the perimeter of the offense if he left. Lloyd led the Rams with 51 receptions for 683 yards and five touchdowns despite only playing in 11 games for St. Louis during the 2011 season.
