NFL Mock Draft 2012: Kansas City Chiefs Upgrade Offensive Line At No. 11

It's always good, in the midst of the 2012 NFL Mock Draft wilderness, to come upon a pick that just makes sense. The Kansas City Chiefs selecting David DeCastro at No. 11 is just that pick. The Chiefs have to stabilize an offense that spiraled toward the bottom of the league in 2011, and DeCastro is one of the best interior lineman prospects in years. Their center, the erstwhile Pro Bowl selection Casey Wiegmann, is 38 years old.

The Chiefs could go for an available defensive player, like Luke Kuechly or Dontari Poe, but why mess with perfection? Just look at this pick, kind of nod your head and say, "Yeah, that's about right," and move on to the more controversial sections of the first round, where the St. Louis Rams have Trent Richardson and Justin Blackmon fighting for a belt suspended high over the squared circle.
