2012 NFL Draft Predictions: Rams Select WR Justin Blackmon In Football Outsiders Mock Draft

The St. Louis Rams selected WR Justin Blackmon in the affectionately-named Mocktopus mock draft system from Football Outsiders. The Mocktopus system combines mock drafts from across the Internet with positional rankings, simulation models and Top 100 prospect lists.

According to Mocktopus, the Rams should be able to land the Oklahoma St. Cowboys receiver they are widely believed to be targeting:

6. St. Louis Rams / Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State

The choice here seems to be between Blackmon and Claiborne. The Mocktopus thinks there is only about a six percent chance that Trent Richardson drops and the Rams take him. Also, Claiborne instantly becomes the favorite if the Browns take Blackmon.

Blackmon played three seasons with Oklahoma State, leading all of college football in 2010 with 20 touchdown receptions. He finished his college career with 3564 receiving yards and 40 touchdowns.
