2012 NFL Draft Results: St. Louis Rams Select CB Janoris Jenkins With 39th Overall Pick

With the 39th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams have selected Janoris Jenkins, a cornerback from North Alabama. These NFL Draft 2012 results confirm the projections for Jenkins, whom many scouts and evaluators felt was a late-first or early-second round selection.

Jenkins was a top prospect and a lock to be an eventual first-round pick during his time with the Florida Gators, but he left the school due to legal troubles and transferred to North Alabama. He has the measurables of a top pick, but he has obvious character concerns and did not play against top competition in 2011.

The Rams' next pick is No. 45 overall. St. Louis is now three picks into the 2012 Draft; the team has added a defensive tackle (Michael Brockers), wide receiver (Brian Quick), and now a cornerback.
