The St. Louis Rams began the day with three picks early in the second round, and after taking Brian Quick and Janoris Jenkins, they decided to trade their third pick of the round (No. 45 overall) to the Chicago Bears in exchange for the No. 50 and No. 150 overall picks.

Before the trade, the Rams did not have a fifth round pick, but with the addition of No. 150, they have a selection in every round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
