The St. Louis Cardinals' draft didn't revolve around Justin Blackmon like we thought it might—he went No. 5 overall, just before the Rams' near-pick—but so far they've taken two wide receivers in the first four rounds of the 2012 NFL Draft. Big Brian Quick was first, going 33rd overall to begin Round 2, while Wake Forest burner Chris Givens went No. 96, in the fourth round. It'll be a while before we see the results, but the Rams have certainly made an effort to fix Sam Bradford's receiving corps.
Last year Brandon Gibson led the Rams in receptions among wide receivers who weren't Brandon Lloyd—and he caught 36 balls for 431 yards and one touchdown. Danario Alexander led them in touchdowns... with two. Last year's set of wide receiver draft picks, Austin Pettis and Greg Salas, struggled to get established; the Rams need one of these two to step up immediately.
